Re: Where Is It?
From CRD - think long and hard about former customers in more rural parts of Ohio
Jet Link - Ann Arbor?

Re: Where Is It?
Not in the 810. Which leaves the 517, 231, 616, and 989.
Hints
-Michigan Central.
-The Jackson, Lansing, and Saginaw RR laid the first track through here.
-North of the 734 area code.

Re: Where Is It?
Alro Steel in Grayling. Without your hints it would have taken me much longer to find. Before Alro it was a Georgia-Pacific plant of some kind. Hasn't used rail service since G-P moved out.

Re: Where Is It?
Alro Steel is located on the east side of Industrial Street which is visible at the bottom of the above shot. Just east of I-75 and south of M-72. The spur was off the connection with former Michigan Central RR , now LSRC. in Grayling.AARR wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:46 amAlro Steel in Grayling. Re: Where Is It?
This road crossing pic on google maps was taken fairly close to this photo I snapped in northern Illinois. Of interest is this body of water the bridge goes over.railrod1949 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 12:06 pmNo idea where this crossing is located. Need more hints please. What part of Illinois is this in?

On highway near St Charles, IL near the Fox River? Or by the bridge over the Rock River near Rockford, IL.~Z~ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 12:51 pmThis road crossing pic on google maps was taken fairly close to this photo I snapped in northern Illinois. Re: Where Is It?
Draw a circle that has a 30 mile radius, with the center being St Charles, and this spot should be on the outer part of that circle.

Re: Where Is It?
OK on the outer part of that circle I got DeKalb, IL on the west. Cary, IL on the north and Morris. IL on sout. All 30 plus miles from St. Charles. and the bridge over the Fox River.
