Darn! I missed the train by 13 minutes. I wish there wasn’t construction on US131 SB at Burton to 28th. It’s hard to tell when the GDLK is running by the Burton St bridge

05/13 - HESR brought north a loaded potash train from Durand via GLC/AARR/NS/CP

05/15 - 23:45 - HESR 745 brought down a grain train from Brown City/Marlette with HESR 3390/GEXR 3393/HESR 3526 arriving into Durand

GDLK nb from Plainwell at about 1:52, WSOR (4190?) and another unit I did not catch the number of. Since we were in the car on a day off I thought we would head north and get a better report. After some maneuvering, caught them at 9th St. and 109th Ave at about 2:25. Certainly not GDLK fast freight service. Didn't catch the whole train, but was able to count 24 cars after I had a decent view, so there are probably more. Lots of box cars, also some covered hoppers and a tank or so thrown in for good measure. Earlier we had gone past Transcendia in Martin. It looked like they had 3 CH's in addition to the two that seem to be on semi-permanent display.

JAIL Z646 with ADBF 821/822 was NB across CN at CP Cedar around 10:00 with empty coil cars for both CSX and CN from RSDC in Holt. They had 17 more loaded plastic pellet hoppers to pull from CN today as well as work Padnos on that side of town. Quite the sight to see the lone GP38 pulling those loads around the corner as they go uphill and over I-496. If you're standing on Clare you can really hear that GP38 throb and pulse harder and harder as it struggles with the long hard

14:26 - HESR 701 is NB out of Durand with HESR 3526/GEXR 3393/HESR 33909/HESR 2145/CFE 3415/HESR 2026 and around 49 cars or so.

FYI, yesterday's HESR 702 brought down HESR 3037 - full lashup was HESR 2026/CFE 3415/CFE 2415/HESR 3037. 3037 was set off for CN to pick up and will be scrapped.

Righto, went back south with 4190 and what looked like 4189 around 8pm.

GRE engine is parked outside the shed on Ann St. and a lot of hoppers in the yard. Just drove through Lowell and there are no cars there. Assuming an EB at some point.

Even as I post this GDLK can be heard switching Otsego. I'm not sure if they're going north or south when they are done.

They headed north by my place in Byron Center around 10:10pm. Couldn't make out the loco numbers, but definitely northbound.
