Well, when I saw both the stack and the trailer with CMS, it was only a matter of time before finding out exactly what (and where) CMS was located.Standard Railfan wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 9:41 amYou could have looked at the trailer parked at the dock like I did.

I feel like I should know where this is, but it's turning out to be a tough one.

Re: Where Is It?
Um, what? I see there's a Advanced MicroNutirent place near Reese. There's an Arthur Township way up near Clare too but no rail service.
It is somewhere within 40 miles of Grand Rapids that I've ridden via bike a few times.

Re: Where Is It?
Back when there was a railroad station there west of Reese (where ADM and MicroNutrient are) they called that spot Arthur. It’s still referred to as Arthur.

Re: Where Is It?
Ah, gotcha AARR. Wasn't aware that area was called Arthur.
Not Muskegon area... definitely within 40 miles of GR, in fact, a lot closer than 40. "Within" is definitely the key word.

Good find! I never would have found that. Even in the satellite view the tracks aren't visible.Mark F wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 10:11 pm

Where be it? Not in Michigan. Thought the track layout was pretty interesting.

Definitely not a model railroad pic - this be a Google satellite pic.

Re: Where Is It?
The tracks share the bridges with a roadway so industrial trackage. Greenery looks a little scrubby so I say northward. Water is dirty like a river but a lake like shore line. So I am guessing a mine site in Ontario.
Re: Where Is It?
See I was thinking somewhere along the Ohio river. Cincinnati area perhaps?

The Old Town branch was part of the old LS&MS RR that ran between North Lansing and Hillsdale. Final run of the remaining passenger train 33/34 between North Lansing and Hillsdale. Actually, it was a mixed train.
