Amazing that BNSF has retired some SD70MACs!!!! These look to be the kind purchased in the 1998-1999 time frame! Glad they aren't getting "Scrapped!!!!"bluewonderrails wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 3:07 pmThis is a picture someone posted to a group that day listing them as SD70s. (picture won't stay in reply)
Now, there are still hundreds of BN "Executive" SD70MACs running! Guess BNSF decided on retiring a select few!!!!

Hey LansingRailFan, can you (or anyone) verify that BCOL C44-9W #4650/GTW GP38-2 #5846 were each taken to Flint (Torrey/Bristol Yard) or Port Huron? Are these engines likely to stay in the area? It would be great to see them on local trains, especially the return of a true "Blue" GTW unit!!!!! Could a BCOL unit work a local down the Mount Clemens Sub. without P.T.C. equipment? There was one time a few years ago where a BCOL "Cowl" was working local train 524 to Mount Clemens!!!!LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 12:57 pm12:35 - EB A492 w CN 5691/BCOL 4650/GTW (still in blue/orange) 5846 thru Charlotte

UP 6279 is the new leader of the latest VIA Siemens train set. Currently in Clinton, Iowa.LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 3:51 pmUP 8736 with the next VIA Rail Passenger Train Set from Siemens in California is in La Grande, Oregon at 09:39 Pacific. UP 6279 is a repainted ex-Southern Pacific AC44 and should have flashing ditch lights if you’re into such things.
