Does anyone have any idea if D706 ran? I'm still pouring thru the scanner archives (Plymouth/CN channel 08 & Grand Rapids Short Lines' channel 14 for EC1's) trying to find him. There are some missing times in the archives.amessmann wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 1:56 pmAs they were passing CH 43 they were on the phone with dispatch discussing 10 Mile Rd's crossing malfunctioning.Railfan4032 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 1:54 pmWere the gates still in an awkward position? Track in Okemos around Dobie Rd was taken out of service due to a washout. Also, there was another washout between Chilson Rd and Beck Rd East of AP.
D705 was able to make it by both but I guess the Dobie road section was taken out of wrvide after D705 squeaked by. G764 was on slow orders (so was D705) for 7 MPH in Howell. I passed by numerous track crew vehicles headed west on 96 today from Plymouth with dump trucks of ballast and a couple of back hoes.

M of W. working the wash out between Howell and Brighton informed the RN at 20:42 that it would be a LONG TIME yet before they get the track back in service there.
Perish the thought there would be a train coming anyway. They went to work on it right after the Webberville grain load were walked over it shortly after the noon hour.
