Did I ever show you guys my searchlight signal? A few years ago The DM&IR was replacing there searchlights and donated a bunch to the Duluth Railroad museum. The museum then sold off what they didn't use as a fund raiser. I have always liked signals and searchlights in particular. Of course I really wanted to get one of the dwarf signals from Plymouth when those were replaced. But I decided this will have to do. I fixed it up and made a small control box for it and am currently powering it with an old marine battery. I don't turn it on that much. Anyway, just thought id share it.. Also they were just selling heads and mounting hardware, no mast lol

Re: Search light signal DMIR
Love it. I think the searchlights are timeless. I think it would be neat to have one. But it makes absolutely no sense for me to try to get one Thanks for sharing. The story that goes with it is neat too.

What make/model signal is that? The small U bolts make me think it's GRS.
Re: Search light signal DMIR
Yes it's a GRS signal. The U-bolts are not original. I had to order some online. The originals were much thicker and were cut off with a torch.
