Re: March, 2020 Obituaries.
Henri Richard, 11-time Stanley Cup winner who scored clincher vs. Wings in '66, dies at 84. Read "Pocket Rocket" Richard's obit at https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sport ... 975581002/.
I'm so old, I can remember watching Henri Richard play at the old Olympia Stadium in Detroit (although I never saw Henri's older brother, Maurice, in person).
(That being said, I'm also so old that I can remember when Tim Horton was a hockey player, before he founded a chain of doughnut stores.)

Re: March, 2020 Obituaries.
I remember both Richards, with the Montreal Canadians. They were the arch enemies of the Red Wings. Maurice Richard and Gordie Howe used to go toe to toe. Back in the day, the hockey players didn't wear helmets and face masks, and most were missing a few front teeth. Now and then, someone would get hit in the face with a puck, and be led off the ice, bleeding like a stuck pig. The team doctor would sow them up in the locker room and they would be back on the ice for the third period.
When I was small, we lived in an upstairs flat, above my grandparents, near West Grand Blvd and Lawton. We would walk over to the Olympia. My grandparents were raging Red Wings fans. Other times, we would listen to the games on a big Zenith floor model radio, with tubes the size of light bulbs. Good times.

Actor, singer, 'The Gambler': Kenny Rogers dies at 81
"Actor-singer Kenny Rogers, the smooth, Grammy-winning balladeer who spanned jazz, folk, country and pop with such hits as “Lucille,” “Lady” and “Islands in the Stream” and embraced his persona as “The Gambler” on record and on TV died Friday night. He was 81."
"He died at home in Sandy Springs, Georgia, representative Keith Hagan told The Associated Press. He was under hospice care and died of natural causes, Hagan said."

Re: March, 2020 Obituaries.
Heck, I'm so old I can remember when Kenny Rogers played psychedelic rock with The First Edition. In particular, he/they had a hit with "Just Dropped In (to See what Condition My Condition was in)." Video of that tune at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZ8k6fVe25k. Of course, that video is entirely lip-synched. A better live performance of that tune is from Kenny Rogers TV show "Rollin' on the River" at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AULOC--qUOI.
