CN L507 chase - Charing Cross - Pontiac, Michigan

Trying a new format out for this video, and I let my girlfriend take the reins for editing on this one. I think she did a good job.

L507 on 3/17 had quite a wild lineup in terms of locomotives. I couldn’t possibly miss this lashup, but we had to go up north. So we ended up pushing our departure back by, which my girlfriend didn’t have too much of a problem with somehow. I’ll let the video do the rest of the explaining.

More to come soon! :)

The way you ran down the stairs made me think you’re chasing Bigfoot 🙂
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

I was all over it too, I’m gonna be 100% straight up and say it was one of the coolest horns I’ve ever heard. I got a video of that unit and another train I filmed in Royal Oak a few days before that chase happened that I have premiering on Monday, the crew was LAYING on it too.

Might not be the best idea to be doing handheld recordings while driving. Gotta figure the new cell phone rules frown upon that. You have a co-pilot, they can film :)

Katie unfortunately was not with me. I was lone wolf on this chase.

I made the decision to drop some money on a dash cam shortly after this trip. I’ll be able to avoid having to go handheld from now on after I get it (in the coming days).
