Re: CN South Bend/Flint Sub

As far as 2 railroad lines in Battle Creek: Other than CN, there is the former NS line now owned by MDOT. Amtrak operates and dispatches it. NS has trackage rights over MDOT from Town Line in Dearborn to BO Tower in Kalamazoo for freight service. West of Wayne, there is little NS traffic which woul...

Which train is this? It was apparently carrying corn oil, but no cars tipped or anything. Train derailment in northwest Lansing LANSING, Mich. Re: Snow Yard in Lansing, MI

Why would they do that with both Battle Creek Yard and Bristol Yard (Flint) just down the line? I believe Lansing currently just has the local crew for R933 switching 4-5 local industries (Citizens, Lansing Asphalt, Biewer, Land O'Lakes-Purina, UFP), the JAIL interchange, and the GM Delta Assembly p...

How many customers are located in the complex of plants west of Delta? I count at least three different companies that could be using rail service all on the cluster of property north of the NS and west of the IORY. https://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/Indiana_%26_Ohio#DT.26I_Subdivision_Customers

To put on the wiki customer page. On Ohio Central subsidiary Columbus and Ohio River, Reagent Chemical located and installed a truck to rail transfer station here in which hydrochloric acid is brought in by tank car and shipped out by truck.
Is this at the former CARBO Ceramics transload?

They were ALWAYS running Tuesday and Thursday. Not once did the...

The new WSOR engine was sitting next to the station with the black engine right next to it with someone doing some work on it.
I believe the ex-NS FURX units Watco was leasing went off lease at the start of October. Did you note the WSOR locomotive number?

Re: Upper Peninsula Railroading

Anyone have any type of timing or schedule for the Port Inland Railroad or the mining railroad at Cedarville? I believe both are now mostly inaccessible to the public, unless you trespass. I think the Cedarville operation does cross at least 2-3 public roads via bridges. Timing or schedule varies. ...

Rode on the Portage Bikeway by Builders FirstSource in Portage today and noticed the spur had the rails dug up and cleared. Are they expecting a car soon?

Also is Tekmodo in Three Rivers now using rail?

The pebble lime from Graymont should be the only traffic interchanged with CN.

I've always wondered if Port Inland (Carmeuse) brings cars to the interchange or if CN runs down to the plant?
