The former LS&MS line, later NYCS, later Penn Central, actaully looking west along Clinton Street in Lansing's Old Town. Final run of the remaining old NYCS line passenger train between North Lansing and Hillsdale, which was mixed trains 64/65, was made in 1934. All in Lansing, Ingham County. Also , please note below the crossbucks sign is another sign stated "EXEMPT" That's mean the CATA busses and the Lansing Public Schools busses are allow to cross without stopping.

S Grant Avenue crossing, Clare, looking north across the former C&O Railway crossing and across M-115 toward the GLC RR crossing in the distance, My sister and her hubby lives two miles north of Farwell which is five miles west of the above shot. The white building on the far right across M-115 is McGuires Chevy dealership which been there for many years. Final run of the remaining passenger train on the former C&O Railway Ludington Sub between Saginaw and Ludington, was made on November 30, 1949 (the year I was born). It was a mixed trains 1 and 4. Final run of the remaining passenger train on the former AA RR trackage in the distance between Boat Landing/Elberta/Frankfort and Toledo. was made on July 19, 1950. That shot is located in Grant Township, Clare County.Michael wrote:The end of the line

Re: Where Is It?
It's on CSX, east of Lake Odessa somewhere, not on the plymouth-flint section, and track here is single track.

Re: Where Is It?
Yes, it's at the Hawk Meadow Park on the north side of Delta River Drive, just east of Ingersoll Road in Delta Township, Eaton County, just west of Lansing. South of BL I-96 (Grand River Road). CSX RR Plymouth Sub can be seen in the distance. The floating bridge over the unamed lake looking north toward the former C&O Railway trackage. A old late neighborhood friend of my late dad, and his family lived in house on Bradford Lane in the Willowbrook Estates about a mile directly south of the park in Delta Township, until he passed away July 8, 2006 ten years later that Bradford Lane house was sold.DaveO wrote:With that hint, it's in Delta Twp at Hawk Meadow Park~Z~ wrote:It's on CSX, east of Lake Odessa somewhere, not on the plymouth-flint section, and track here is single track.

Re: Where Is It?
Correct Dave. Was out running errarnds with a buddy of mine in Lansing, said he wanted to walk in a nearby park, saw the bridge, headed that direction and when I got there, I told him "I know this spot! I've seen this on google maps before when looking for spots to possibly get train photos from one day."DaveO wrote:With that hint, it's in Delta Twp at Hawk Meadow Park~Z~ wrote:It's on CSX, east of Lake Odessa somewhere, not on the plymouth-flint section, and track here is single track.

Well, now I need to do some exploring. Not that I'll ever be lucky enough to catch a train there though.~Z~ wrote: Correct Dave. Re: Where Is It?
Please do JT. There's a few trees/brush there that need your attention. A late running q328 would be great to get in the morning about now.
It's funny, when I was there, I told TheVariance that JT needed to come and clear brush

Spur line to MPC Cashway Lumber and Builders Studio-Lansing, midway between Grand Ledge and Lansing off the CSXT Plymouth Sub. In Watertown Township, Clinton County. Final runs of the remaining passenger trains on the old C&O Railway main line. Passenger trains 11,12,14, and 15, the Pere Marquette, between Detroit and Grand Rapids, were made on April 30, 1971.

There are few clues in this one but I get the feeling someone will nail it.
