Re: Where Is It?
Yes, it's the Mid Michigan RR line crossing Brennan Road, looking south in Hemlock on the left and Richland Township on the right, Saginaw County. Passenger train service on the former C&O Railway Elmdale Sub, was discontinued many, many years ago, between Grand Rapids and Saginaw via Elmdale and Hemlock.DaveO wrote:Mid-Michigan South Brennan Road HemlockMichael wrote:

Yes, that's about 10 miles northeast of Pinconning on the Lake States Railway line to Alpena. Saganing Eagles Landing Casino can be seen on the right. Looking northeast from the Worth Road crossing in Standish Township, Arenac County. Final run of the remaining old D&M Railroad passenger trains between Bay City and Alpena pass by that location in -Z-'s shot above, was on March 31, 1951.

Just northwest of Fenton on the CN Holly Sub. Looking southeast toward Fenton. Silver Lake Road and the Silver Lake are both can be seen on the right. Lake Drive crossing in the foreground. Lakefront Grille is to the left on the shore of Lake Ponemah (not visible) in Fenton Township, Genesse County. Lake Ponemah Marina is behind the photographer's current position. 53 railroad miles northwest of Detroit. Final run of the remaining old GTW passenger trains 168/169 between Detroit and Durand with stop at Fenton and The Mohawk, trains 164/165 between Detroit and Chicago, were all made on April 30, 1971.Michael wrote:Good job on my last one DaveO

Yes, it's the Dawn Foods Plant at the left on Nicor Dr. looking southeast across the former LS&MS (later old New York Central, later Penn Central) branch between Lenawee Junction and Jackson via Tecumseh , Clinton and Manchester. Wellworth Park and the Grand River are both behind the photographer's current position. All in Jackson, Jackson County. Pasenger train service between Toledo and Jackson via Lenawee Junction, Clinton and Manchester, was discontinued in 1938. It's north of E South Street and west of US-127. It's now the NS rail spur to the Dawn Foods which is serve by a Jackson yard job.Buster Manning wrote:Dawn Foods plant on the end of the old Manchester branch in Jackson

Here is an easy one for some, difficult for others...an NS train working at a business in the Great Lakes region.
