Train Chase with BB 7/6/2005

On July 6. 2005, I met up with BB to chase D712 from Manistee to Fountain.
The train departs Manistee over the swing bridge:

After getting them at the swing bridge, we jumped ahead of the train to East Lake.
This picture almost looks like it could have been taken anywhere on the CSXT system:

Our next stop was just south of Stronach. They were starting to pick up speed at this point, and the 6449 was giving her all.

Just north of Freesoil, the tracks pass over a bridge spanning the Big Sable River, which is seen in BB's latest chase report. Unfortunately the train beat us to the bridge on this trip because we were not fast enough. We did, however, catch them in Fountain.
After this, we abandoned them, and went back to Manistee.
Again, It was nice to meet you, BB!
