Location on the Grand Rapids Eastern
I'm working on identifying locations from old video and am curious if there is an official or unofficial name for that farm with the barn along the tracks. You know, the one between Ada & Lowell that everyone has a picture of.
Re: Location on the Grand Rapids Eastern
Well, we know the family name of the farm near East Saugatuck that has been photographed a million times, but I'm not sure the name of the family that owns that farm has ever been known. I would definitely like to know.

Kent County GIS viewer says it's under the Ted Dalstra Trust, with his house being on the property immediately west of the farm.
For Dan's question, i've only heard it referred to as "the farm."

The last of my '90s stuff went up in July & I'm well into 2000 now. Should be posting things from this century by January.

Hey Jason/KC8KBK was talking about one of the last runs that NS made on what’s now the JAIL. It was a long move of stored empty TOFC spine cars. He knows one or two people chased it and at least one filmed it as he’s seen it on YouTube before. Was that you by chance and if so, do you remember which video upload?

I did not film that, had forgotten about the stored spine cars. If it helps, the NS/JAIL transfer was October 2010
