We have been catching B25 locals the last couple nights running with 2 units and 2 cars. Is it likely these are to re qualify crews? Clearing ypsi at 12:45am and returning at 2:45 am. I'll post a video link shortly.

There are a few steel suppliers located between Willow Run/Wayne that currently get coil cars from 60/63T through Dearborn, unless something new is opening up, these must be what they're referring to. Maybe cheaper to go through Jackson?

Unless they're running the other way, cars from 60/63T to be set off at Willow Run and taken to Jackson via new train...

Pro coil in canton gets around 8 cars-12 cars most days if B17 switches them (pretty sure it's daily) and contractors gets scrap gons. There had been rumblings of the JAIL taking cool cars via interchange, and we did catch a "unit train" earlier in the summer heading west. It could be related to that deal.

No jobs currently use willow run. Currently the furthest freight trains get on the AML is to CP 25 which is the border between ypsi and canton. They would be Wayne to Jackson. On the flip side, a local goes to CP Lake to switch. So basically 25 to lake has not had regular freight trains since 38 and 39e left.

Steel coils for RSDC in Holt. What I heard is that they are dedicated trains from AK Steel in Middletown, Ohio. There is a job based in Wayne that will be taking them to Jackson and returning with the empties. That is all I know.

The first full train was heard/ spotted at 2:00am today. Woke me up clearing WB. Not sure on concise or symbol (assuming it is a local symbol likely B25). Interestingly I believe I spotted some CH's towards the event of the consist but I cannot confirm. Will try and catch one or two moves this week. I am hoping they get out of Wayne either much earlier or much later. (Later putting their EB run in the morning)

B25 by CP 28 EB at 8:30am this morning. Lite power, pair of SD40-2's. If the timing is correct some runs may give good morning EB light like today.

Caught NS at Chelsea Milling Company about 10:10 this morning. 1 car was on the main and they apparently dropped one or two cars on the spur. 3 locks, two SD40-2s (3452, 3286) plus SD40E (6346). After connecting to the hopper they left on the main they stayed sitting between the switch and Dexter Chelsea Rd for about 20 minutes before I had to leave

I heard a train head through Depot Town at 725am yesterday (wednesday). Must've been 351 and the eastbound NS was waiting at Chelsea.

B25 has been assumably qualifying crews the last two nights. Last night they ran west by CP28 at 12:30 am and came back at 2:35am (give or take), and tonight they just cleared MP 35 WB. Train is SD40-2, two coil cars, and another SD40-2. The time frame suggest they are going to Jackson and returning back in short order.

What train is B25? Is this the new train running from Jackson - Wayne and back?

Why would they be adding another train instead of just increasing B22 from 4 mile Lake (Chelsea Milling Company) east to Wayne?

Where has RSCD received their steel coils from previously? Is this as a result of a new supplier, or just an adjustment to the operating schedule?

Are there any other adjustments to operations scheduled? Weren't the cars to Holt previously going to Elkhart, then north to K'zoo, then east to Jackson, then north to Holt.

Could this be a result of the substantial traffic volume on the Grand Elk between Elkhart and K'zoo? Maybe NS trying to lower that volume some while at the same time possibly increasing their cut of the revenue for the haul?

A few more questions. How updated is the NS Train Symbols Wiki? Looking at this, they show a daily B16 Jackson to Inkster. I assume this was abolished several years ago, or is this the new train we have been calling B25.

The trains supposedly operating in Michigan over the Dearborn Division are:
B01: Burns Harbor to Decatur (turn)
B16 : Jackson to Inkster (turn)
B17: Wayne to Inkster (turn)
B18: Wayne to Inkster (is this an extra of B17?)
B19 Wayne to Oakwood (turn)
B20 Monroe to Toledo (turn)
B22 Jackson to Chelsea (Chelsea Milling Company turn)
B33 Jackson to Kalamazoo (GDLK Interchange)
B34 Battle Creek to Kalamazoo (note says into Jackson mid-morning) Does this work all the industries between Kazoo and Jackson?
B44 Jackson to Chelsea (extra of B22?)
B49 Oakwood to Wayne
B57 Battle Creek to Kalamazoo
B70 Milan - Oakwood (turn)
B71 Milan - Adrian
B73 Oakwood to Willis

This is it for the Dearborn Division Locals

Other trains include
L62 Montpellier, OH to Munson, Mi (is this the siding near Morenci?)

05A Chicago to Port Huron (Blue Water" 364)
06A Port Huron to Chicago (Blue Water 365")
07A Pontiac to Chicago (Wolverine 365) Is this a typo on the train symbol? Shouldn't this be Wolverine 355, not 365?

Coils for RSDC have historically come from both NS (via Jackson) and CSX (via Lansing). I'm not sure if the JAIL interchange with CN in Lansing is active or not, or if it still even exists for that matter.
