I believe they do. I don't know if they are shipping/receiving by rail.

I know when they were first looking at locations to build the facility a couple years ago one of the requirements was for it to have nearby rail access, so I would assume they are actively using the spur.

That was my understanding also. I am almost certain the spur was put in, from the Gilford Elevator feed, but due to the poor economy, don't know the status if they are shipping/receiving by rail.
I'll do some digging to see if I can find an answer.

The current Google Maps Street View shows six tank cars at POET in Caro confirming as several of you already said they load ethanol by rail.
Also, one of the covered hoppers in the DDG loading spur is an orange LSRC covered hopper (almost looks like an ex-AA car).

Just a FYI looking at the customer list on rail wiki and noticed the inactive? Next to the co-op elevator in Elkton. It still does receive hoppers there was two there a couple weeks ago on the spur. This is the location right next to tower auto. So all 4 customer listed are active still
