Circus Train
I heard that the blue train is leaving St Louis on Sunday evening and headed to Auburn Hills. In the past they unloaded at the GM plant in Lake Orion. Would anyone know the routing or schedule for this? Would make an interesting picture at Durand if that is the way it goes.

Well train is coming out of St. Louis early monday morning, Nov 12. Looks to be on CSXT to Conrail at Detroit. Animal and material cars go to GTW @ Vinewood to go to Auburn Hills.
Will depart on Nov 19 and ASSume it will go out CSXT. Anybody with any CSXT connections have some better information?

Edit: Just had a thought; if we find out where it is running; is it also possible to find out where ti will be making grocery stops? I remember reading that the RRBBBC train makes grocery stops every once and a while for the feeding of the animals, picking up groceries, etc.

Is it possible it would come down the Holly sub? Seeing that it's coming from St.Louis I figure maybe come up from the southwest towards Chicago and come in that way. I know there's a line from Pontiac yard that crosses Baldwin and Walton and turns north thru Auburn Hills into the GM Orion plant off of Silverbell Rd. They came past our house a few years back( I'm just a few hundred feet from the crossing on Howard St. in Fenton) and headed down that way. Was pretty neat to see!!

Well since train is on Conrail don't think it will go through Plymouth. Probley north out of Toledo on C&O to Carleton than up the PRR to Delray and up Conrail to Livernois. Animal cars to GTW @ Vinewood out to yard behind GM Orion Assembly plant. Same as last year.
When train departs will be a reverse move. Down GTW to Livernois, train put together than down to Delray, PRR to Carleton, C&O to Toledo and on south.

Read and everything you want to know is there. Not exact times as those cant be given out, but I pretty sure most can figure out when "verry verrry late Monday night" is. And the route is already posted, no matter what eveyone else keeps wanting to "guess".

chris, as KenB, sd70accsxt700, and Gregg Pullano said in this thread, they all pointed to the thought that it's not going through Plymouth... sounds like it'll come up from Toledo, turn when it gets to Carleton, and bypass Plymouth... go to Carleton if you'd like to see it, or somewhere along the line from Carleton to Livernois.Chrisracer8903 wrote:Wait a minute! I didnt know there was any, pretty cut and dried for those that can read, minus the times.Sweet. No more cryptic posts.
As of right now, it has been sitting in Muncie, In, for a hour. Aproxmate four hours to Walbridge when it starts to move again. I have a limited window of 40 minuts to catch it. If called before 7:20 not rested, if called after 8:00, another person ahead will be rested. Boy I hope she starts moving NOW!Look for a P900 series train on late, late, Monday night, comming out of Walbridge up the Lincoln Sec, to Livernois, where it will cut off some cars, then up to North yard, to have the rest interchanged to the CN for final destionation, of Eames Yard. Wont say to much more, as there are eyes watching now.
