Doesn’t CSX have a pretty busy yard in Garrett? if it does than that puts it on top

What’s a pretty busy yard? Can you quantify “busy” and how much that will put CSX over the top of NS as you say? :?:

That's why the post mentions through trains which excludes daily switching jobs at Garrett.

Northern Indiana Rail Authority says CSX was averaging between 48 to 65 trains per day back in 2018

There is a spreadsheet located here that's updated to show all of the trains that pass the Deshler OH railcams.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... HS68Ix1XU/
For an example, for yesterday's log, I count 34 of the 50 trains that passed by the cam as ones that would go through Garrett, so that could at least give you an idea of trains that go between Deshler and Garrett's east end. Doesn't account for trains that terminate at Garrett that came from Chicago.
Wonder if there's people that count at Elkhart, where you could then get a reasonable guess for the count at Waterloo.

Elkhart has trains coming from Fort Wayne and other connections on the Marion Line. Those trains would not be seen in Waterloo.

Well the NS in Waterloo you are guaranteed 80 trains on the CSX it can be hit miss I counted a little over 100 train symbols on the CSX but usually the CSX gets around 40-60 a day
