A couple of observations on ND&W customers in Napoleon as I took a trip through the Industrial Park area earlier today. 1. Universal Cooperatives (located between Interstate & Cloverleaf Cold storage) is no longer in business. It would get chemical tank cars. The facility is now being leased by Wal-Mart as an "off site warehouse facility" and the ND&W is using the portion of the spur between the "main" and the company fence to store a few aluminum bodied hopper cars that have Anderson's reporting marks. Between Interstate & Cloverleaf, there about 15 mechanical reefer cars in total at both facilities. There were also two of the ND&W locomotives present as well. One being parked on the main behind Interstate Cold in font of a cut of reefers, and the other parked on the Cloverleaf spur with another cut of reefers. Also I did not see any evidence of work on a spur for the refractory brick company that re-located from Liberty Center, or work on a "run-around track" that is to be done with some ORDC funds.

Runaround track was installed a few years a go. Track is just south of John Deere. Not unless they plan on another.
