We will...lol. Especially since two large sections of the line have semaphores. Southbound 669 will definitely keep the railfans busy tomorrow...

The northbound trip wont be half bad either with the IC SD40-2.

Those IC units are going fast DME & ICE are almost gone too. Only 3 GR&P left and 1 TBR. WC and OC&M are both gone. AA GP35's are still in orange and there are a few WSOR units left. EJE is almost gone too. I'm trying to keep repaints to a minimum now for the sake of the heritage. Plus paint isn't cheap lol

Interesting. Sounds like those schemes are down to their final numbers. We've still got a TStL GP38-2 and 3 TC&P/OC GP38ACs bouncing around.

Oh yea OC, we have 8 OC painted SD40T-2's roaming still. That's it for OC. TC&P is gone besides what you have. Those tunnel motors won't last very long either. Probably be sold before 2014.

The entire Monon mainline to Louisville has re-opened today. A 15mph slow order is in affect for the area around Big Walnut Creek, but should be lifted by tomorrow. Busy day today, with several long trains are out handling traffic that has been delayed. There's also a coal train from last week ready to go for the MQT...

The biggest feature on the Monon though, is the appearance of today's ethanol train #669 off the TSCR. Power on the train is TSCR's Illinois Central Gulf heritage unit, leading a patched Illinois Central SD40-2. He's heading south in absolutely fantastic light, and railfans from all over IN, IL, and OH are flocking in this direction to get photos.

Trains on the Monon as of 5pm...
CL-1 at Salem; CIL 3349 (C40-8W), CIL 3306 (SD40-2), CIL 3321 (SD40-2)
LC-2 at Bedford; CIL 3327 (SD40-2), CIL 3310 (SD40-2)
CI-1 at Nora; CIL 3360 (C40-8W), CIL 2030 (SD38-2)

BL-1 at Leipsic; CP 6003 (SD40-2), NS 7523 (ES40DC)
T-MNB at Wilders; CIL 2021 (GP40E)

TSCR's ICG heritage unit is heading back north today, trailing on #668 behind TSCR 666, which retains it's black Illinois Central colors. Another nice treat today...

Also, a monster 833 is running north to MQT at West Olive, should be approaching CP Hoosier now.

Roster Update: All 5 of the remaining MQTX GP35s have been returned to their leaser in Grand Rapids, MI.
CIL 1070 has been repainted out of its OHCR/TCP paint and into Monon's Black and Gold. Spotted outside the Hammond shops last evening.

A bunch of steam stuff. We know the engineering works, just need permission. We will send two sd40-2s down Tuesday to take the train from the Chicago line right to gr, we will need a pilot for our crew however on the way back. We just want to send them down on the transfer of you can spot them at the interchange.

Yeah, that's fine with us. When is the steam stuff arriving? We'll bring your 40-2s down that afternoon and drop them in Alida, where the interchange is.
