11:11 - NB JAIL Z646-27 with adbf 1751 solo, 3 empty coils for CN and 4 empty boxes for CSX, at Kalamazoo Street in Lansing

Adbf 821 made it home to Mason yesterday after being stranded while MOW continues working on the curve outta Ensel where JAIL derailed last Friday.

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 1:36pm. WAMX 4189, WAMX 4225, and 25 cars. Mostly boxcars, then tank cars and covered hoppers.

Back south at 4:39pm, WAMX 4225 and 4189 LHF and 7 cars. 3 empty centerbeams and covered hoppers.

Neither here nor there at this late hour, but I wanted to report that the Essex Terminal Ry. engine 108 spotted at least one tankcar at Hiram Walker Windsor on Friday around 4:30pm, and returned toward their yard lite power. I’m not sure if end-of-day in a Friday is a regular switch for this move, or not.

JAIL JL-1 Saturday runner is NB out of Jackson with ADBF 1751 and 7 cars. 1 boxcar, 4 plastics hoppers and 2 coil cars

FYI ADBF 1751 has been sold to a gravel mining op in Mexico. Get it while you can.

Are the four plastic pellet covered hoppers for an online customer, transload, storage, other?

I believe I heard the Grand Elk head southbound through 54th St Wyoming area around 5:15pm

Facebook post showing track equipment in the JAIL Old Town spur today. Last week or the week before, someone mowed down the linear wildflower garden from Turner Street southeast. Something to keep an eye on!

It’s all storage. They are doing some short term storage for Nova Chemicals. There’s plastics hoppers everywhere in Lansing.

Mucho appreciato. Got a few snaps of them going south through Byron Center at 4:26pm. Snow covered trees in October....
