That extra 253 (first time I have heard that number) is passing MP 22.5, struggling up the hill in the rain, making weird noises.

19:41 - NB X253 with CN 2278 solo takes the Chicago Wye in Durand and heads WB to Battle Creek

20:44 - WB E251 with CN 2343/CN 2249 by the 205 cam. Almost all racks aside from 2 boxcars.

20:46 - WB M301 with CN 3859/CN 3078 thru Durand on M1. Looks to be holding at Bancroft for an EB.

21:32 - EB L500 with a solo CN 8000-8100? And 75 cars. 70 were empty racks off of an E270 with dual BNSF that was terminated in BC. Five other freight cars on the head end to Lansing. They’ll set off all 75 cars in Lansing and the. Go power light to Durand.

The dual BNSF engines led an E253 out of BC to IHB Gibson.

E25361 is a new symbol.

Profiled as Battle Creek to IHB Gibson.

The X253 was an extended E253 from Flat Rock.

E251 is now profiled to terminate in Battle Creek. We won’t be seeing any X251s out of Battle Creek anymore.

Thanks LansingRailfan for the symbol update.

I'm now wondering since 251 now terminates in Battle Creek, will the same train continue West as 253 now, or will there be a 251 and 253 on the Holly and Flint Subs to Battle Creek?

I'm hoping the Holly and Flint Subs will now have both 251 and 253, but I probably won't get that lucky.

Thanks.

If they have enough loads to go to IHB Gibson and power and a crew, then you’ll see two trains. If not, you’ll see one train with different blocks for different folks.

If there’s a train I’m going after today, it’s this one. A duo of Dash 9’s on a CN train is gonna get really hard to come by soon with the rebuild program in full swing.
