Hi-ya Donnie! Q327 is hanging by the west leg of the aye in holland. There's an e80002 that might run at noon, but I'm a bit doubtful. Q326 is on duty in Chicago but hasn't left yet.

Losing the good sun angle in the New Richmond area. May have to abort the mission.

As guessed, e800 doesn't have a crew. Q326 is finally departing Chicago as of 10:45.

One hour later and they still aren’t to the New Richmond area. Did they stop somewhere west of Holland?

I’m not able to listen to the scanner right now, so I’m in the dark as well.

Just turned the scanner on in time hear the crew of 327 talking in Holland. Sound like the train is stopped and they are going to need to cut a crossing. Police officer is chatting with the engineer, who is going to go back and get the conductor at the crossing near Baker Furniture (24th St).

Q327 was on the move again around 12:35 crossing over 48th St. very slowly. They had 69 cars, and the rest of their train is sitting back in Holland, blocking every crossing from 15th to 24th St. I did hear them earlier say something about going down to East Saugatuck and maybe blocking a crossing there. Not sure why. Anyway, there are a bunch of pissed off people in Holland right now because of this train parked on all the crossings I mentioned. Had to tell a few people already that the train wasn’t going anywhere soon, as there was no locomotive on it.

Edit: 1:07pm, currently sitting in the siding at East Saugatuck. Haven’t heard what the plan is.

Q327 had mechanical issues and was stopped for awhile, blocking 18 crossings. Supposedly, they had to break their train up to allow traffic to pass.

Q326-02 was seen with distributed power at Michigan City by a friend of mine there shortly after 1 pm.

Yup, now only blocking 4 crossings.

2:05pm: 327’s power now heading back east to grab the rest of their train. Back on the main crossing 136th as I post this.

Q326-02 is currently going through St. Joseph. Sounds like CSXT 3200 leading.
