364 is running about 2 and a half hours late. From the scanner, lead engine is 4613. I believe that is the first Charger on the Bluewater.

Attached is the speed for that area, seems like they were doing around 79 when I had them at beck road

Amtrak 364 still in Chicago, mechanical issues last couple hours.

From Amtrak Unlimted: 6/17's 354 had some extra cars on it. Two Viewliner Diners, Sleeper, Baggage.

Any idea what is up with the long distance cars?

This train, which is running extra today, just left Pontiac for Detroit at 1 pm. Led by a Charger and mostly long-distance cars including baggage and sleepers.

some sort of a test train....or maybe it's a new dinner train ??

Today's 353 had P42DC 64, two Horizon coaches, two Amfleet I coaches and one Amfleet I cafe car.

Extra ran as 989 with IDTX 4628. The Pacific Bend was nice to see on there.

PTC Test Train 989 is running again today. Plan was to go from Pontiac down to Milwaukee Junction.

Consist of the train is:

Diner 68022 Richmond
Diner 68016 Madison

The IDTX 4631 was also in the CN yard in Pontiac, but scanner chatter indicated it was having issues.

OK, this "Test" train was running yesterday, June 19!!!! I was on the way to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet™ concert, Pine Knob®!!!! I briefly had a glimpse of this equipment on the way but
no time for pix!!!! Now, does anyone know when/where this equipment will run again? Could it work this weekend? Please help!!!!

Amtrak Test train NB by Mount Clemens depot (MTC sub 21.97) at 09:45. Short cut to Port Huron.

Something different just went west thru Dexter. I'm on the far side of the office & can't see what it was, but it didn't have a standard Amtrak horn & wasn't 351.

B25 follows 351 west, they were running right behind 351 today

Must have had something different than normal for power, or a messed up horn. It didn't sound like anything normal going thru.

Amtrak 351 has P42 68 leading 2 Amfleets and 3 Horizons. Departed about 10 mins late out of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. Could still Make Chicago on time or early at this point depending on the NS. Planning to meet 350 at Niles.

Edit.

Now approaching the bridge at 508 on the Chicago line. Over an hour late. Took a 35 minute delay for Amtrak MOW at Niles. Also sat at Porter for about 30 minutes waiting to get onto the NS Chicago line. Ran through At least 5 sets of slow orders since Kalamazoo.
