M397 in Ontario has CN 3340/UP 8697/GEXR 3393. GEXR 3393 is for the HESR. Should be in Port Huron after midnight. Unknown if GEXR 3393 will be set off in Flint or BC.
The 3393 did not get set off in Flint. Here is is passing Mount Hope in Lansing just after 8:00 AM

How can you tell it’s a conrail pickup? Certain reporting marks/types of cars?

L506 (Toledo-Flat Rock turn) at 12:13am just made their move into the yard with an Algoma Central caboose leading the shove.
OK David Collins, does train L506 always use this caboose? An Algoma Central® caboose is pretty awesome!!!! Is this a regular caboose used for "Shoving Platform?" :?: Is this train always late at night? :?: What time does this train go on duty and depart north from Toledo? :?: Is the caboose always on the end of L506 and occupied by a conductor? :?: I'd like to catch this train!!!! WOW!!!! :!: Cabooses are always awesome─especially when being used! 😁 😆 😁 😆 😎 😎 😲 😲 😲 😲

Take a look at this picture (Canon 35mm S.L.R.) that I (RLJ II) took at age seven. GTW caboose 79133 on the local train, Mount Clemens, MI in 1991: Image

Type of cars, David. A lot of coiled steel cars and long tank cars. Used to see these cars sitting on the interchange track when I was working on DCON and doing the CN interchange at East Yard. Not sure why coiled steel cars would interchange to CN though.

WB L521 with IC 6250/GTW clear Schoolcraft.

Second day in a row that M394 has other people’s engines in tow with CN 3017/CN ex-CitiRail 3948/NBSR 6416 (SD70M-2) - Griffith, IN at 11:40

L508 later will have UP 8806/CN 8835 - UP 8806 was dropped in Flint off of an M394 earlier in the day.

Even later there was an L513 with 165 cars from Pontiac to Flint - IC 9607/CN 5466 elephant style - mostly empty centerbeams and some stored coil cars as well. Cleaned out Lang and Pontiac. waterford around 21:00 or so. They ran back light power.

116 with what looked like only one locomotive, a few racks and a few containers went past MP 22.5 at 12:45 am on Main 1.

Main 2 lit up with green over yellow at Opdyke Road so either 251 (I was out earlier and don't know if it went by yet) or NB 515 is probably coming.
