You and me both. I used to live mile from L&W and have never seen a train on that branch. Heard the horn a few times, but never managed to catch them.

Grand Elk horn just heard at 32nd. Not sure which direction they are headed.

Per JT - Grand Elk south at 32nd St in Grand Rapids at 2:10pm. On a sunday....

South through Byron Center at 2:30pm. WAMX 4209, WAXM 4189, WAMX 4009, and about 20ish cars, one tank car, one covered hopper, rest boxcars. Thanks JT! A sunday GDLk run, and it went through during Lion's halftime, got a photo of them as well, perfect timing.

Ahhh you beat me to it. Saw the Grand Elk cross 44th St at 2:18pm. I didn’t see the engines but I saw the last 7-10 cars of the train

Note: Stood next to the tracks at 129th Ave for about 45 minutes after seeing them pass 44th St and it was nice to just stand outside, watch some leaves fall, got a horn tap from some passing cars lol.

Grand Elk south at 129th Ave at 3:39pm. I saw a visual of the cars at the rear, 2 boxcars and a covered hoppers. No visual of engines

Hearing GDLK in Plainwell at 4:30. No visual, have to start cooking soon.

Here's the train crossing Clyde Park. I've wanted this shot for a LONG time and it worked out perfectly with the sunshine.

MQT NB around 12:30. Did not see the headend, but it was stopped just North of Ann St, probably switching around Turner, so guessing it was a long train.

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 1:43pm. WAMX 4189, WAMX 4209, and 32 cars, mostly boxcars.

NB JAIL currently working at Cavanaugh Yard. 821 leading LHF with 822 trailing. Judging by the amount of tank cars they have they are definitely working the CN interchange today.

Grand elk south through Byron Center at 1:02pm. Wamx 4208, 4189 and 10 cars. Appears they didn't go back south last night.

JAIL went as far as Cavanaugh Yard today. They had to sort and spot a large pickup from NS at Greif/Michigan Packaging, The Andersons’, RSDC and the ZFS transload.

ADBF 821 led NB, ADBF 1751 led SB - not 822 as previously reported.

HESR 702 inbound to Durand at 15:00 with HESR 3390/HESR 3484

Grand Elk just went by the Elkhart VR cam at 11:23 am with two locos up front(I didn’t catch the loco numbers) with 30 cars in tow. A mix of box cars, covered hoppers and tank cars.
