03:13 - Hearing GLC south of Brighton. I thought I had heard them earlier as well, perhaps a run to Ann Arbor and back for a grain train? Certainly not their normal time.

385 went solo up to Oakley yesterday and worked a ZFS shuttle at The Andersons. Returned around 16:50 with the loaded cars. They’ve been shuttling a lot of soybeans from Oakley and Middleton to ZFS the last week and a half or so.

391/383 brought back a unit grain empty plus other cars. The grain train was for HESR/Brown City & Marlette from Osmer

Not a train location update, but a location update on GLC.

The main crossing in Alba at US-131 is being upgraded from Crossbucks to Cantilever signals. It appears they are being mounted on their bases today.

I saw GLC switching Beacon in TC about 2:30pm from seat 2A at about 3,500ft while taking off. Unfortunately the Delta captain didn't circle around for a good look (the #1 on time airline had to continue climbing to cruise altitude), but there were two locomotives and 5 gondolas.

Did you see any lumber come up? If not, it's been almost 2 months since GLC has taken anything to Amerhart. Which of course is concerning.

I don't believe there was any lumber. There wasn't any in Tufford when I saw the gons.

Thanks! At least there appears to be a new siding for a new shipper under construction beyond Beacon (siding being graded and new facility being built). Looks to be metal fabrication related).
