The Holly Sub is going to be even more colorful soon, as L502, who is currently backing into the yard in Durand at 4:13pm, has BNSF 9074 and CP 8751 for power.

cn 3000 leading 397 by 205 at 2045 with a mid train dpu and about 790 axles. It also has what looks to be a grain dryer on a deep well flat in the front half of the train.

Train 451 NB past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 12:47 pm. Two CN road units and GTW 5831 still in blue trailing. Nice to see an original GTW GP38 still around, and in blue, but it is in rough shape and in need of paint.

Saw a SB passing MP 22.5 on the Holly last night around 3 am. Thought it might be 116 as this is its usual time but no containers in the train. Maybe a later 502? Never heard 116 so maybe it is running during the daylight today. There may be that weekly 326 doublestack today too as it is Thursday.

About 1640 there was a west bound by my cam at mp205 on the flint sub. Cn leader, red white and blue bcol trailing. It looked to be traveling at restricted speed. 100% of the train was empty beam cars. The last few weeks I've noticed long cuts of empty beam headed east, now they're headed back west as unit trains?

What I believe to be 391 is good to head north from Pontiac at 10:08 PM. CN 3088 leading.

Edit to add:

391 cleared the detector P 34.2 at 10:21 PM 108 axles.

502 gave there mark up to the dispatcher, I only hear parts of it.

CN 5780 leading
CN 2549 trailing
I an not sure if the GTW engine is still on the train. From what little heard they still need to go back to the rest of the train before departing.

Edit to add:

502 good to depart Pontiac southbound at 10:47 PM.

Appears CN has some on the ground at the north (RR east?) end of the Battle Creek yard, possibly a couple autoracks. No emergency services were called so presumably no injuries or hazmats and such. They indicated the McAllister Rd crossing would be blocked for a while as they cleaned up.

Update, BC derailment. As noted, a couple autoracks derailed, tore up a section of track and a couple switches on one of the mains at the north end of the yard. I was told crews from Cranemasters responded to clean up the derailed cars during the day, looks like they have packed up and headed home (with a big bag of money no doubt!) A large CN MOW crew still on scene actively repairing damaged track. Looks like trains are moving through the work area.

Had a unknown (116?) southbound clear the detector MP 34.2 at 4:56 AM 418 axles.

Edit to add:

CN 5667 leading, They have a "Third engine" to set off at Pontiac and at least 2 cars to pick up. I am reasonably certain this is 116.

Yes, Jim, it was 116. Just went SB past my house at MP 22.5 at 7:40 am with two locomotives one or two autoracks and the rest containers. Short train.
