Agreed, but there was railfanning before his posts and there still will be afterwards. It just might be a little harder now not having timely updates
Timely is one thing, detail is another. Who else but Tom posted all of the fantastic information that he got off the scanner feeds you have to pay for to get.
I can sorta post like Tom but Tom advised me to adjust my post accordingly to my own style of posting so they don’t mimic his.

Thanks. I did appreciate Tom for helping me understand some of the terminology used in railfanning. Which is why I caught some of those mentioned trains he endlessly updates.

Some of the mentioned trains are on my YouTube channel “Andy’s Rail Productions”

I thought odd numbers were eastbound, even were west, like L302 being westbound and L303 being eastbound. Is this not the standard CSX uses? I'd ask if this is because of the recent symbol changes but both the L and M symbols are relatively new.

Hi, for some reason they had kept the # designations as being the same for Q326/Q327 when they had became "M" trains.

Odds are generally westbound and southbounds, even is east or northbound. This L302/L303 being basically backwards is what is messing with that usual status quo.

Here's a list of CSX symbols: http://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/CSX_Train_Symbols
Examples are i131 that runs Detroit to IL and goes west, i132 is the counterpart that's even that goes east.
i009 goes west, i010 goes east.
M515 is southbound, M514 is northbound.

The standard is the opposite, and whoever decided that L302 (formerly D705) goes west and L303 (formerly D706) goes east should be flogged with a wet noodle.
