It does look like a cloudy day, right? I don't see any sun on the loco, so it doesn't fit THEIR database style.

Nice pic James...I do agree...it is cloudy...but the photo has a lot of interest in it, I don't see why they would reject it.

Anyway...I like it :)

Has anyone ever resent the same picture over and over? I don't mean a few days in a row, but like WEEKS at a time...EVERY day just to piss them off, or to actually see if another screener will accept it? I'm wondering if they'd eventually ban you for this practice. I'm seriously considering doing it.

Yea ive set the same pictures in like for a week straight. Even the screeners pics on there are just average. They list who the screeners are somewhere on railpictures.net. Check it out JT, youre stuff that ive seen is better than theres. They just have be egos because they can screen.

I've had it with railpictures.net. They are full of you know what stating that RPElite does not entitle you to preferential screening. I will be darn if I relent to their extortion. The pictures are, for the most part, outstanding. A closer look of just about every page of 15 will find a minimum of one that has no business there.

Exactly. They are WAY too inconsistent.

So, with the amount of money you're saving on film processing costs, and with gas prices back down, why not splurge a bit and buy a RPElite membership for a month or two just to see how many crappy pictures you can get accepted? To be honest, it's definitely crossed my mind more than once...

How much does it cost and what do you get for paying?

$3 a month or $30 for the year. You get no popups and a handful of other misc perks.

Hmm...I get no pop ups now. :D

Can you "come and go" as you please, as in pay one month, skip the next (lose your elite status) and then come back again after that?

Starting today, I am going to upload the same picture EVERY day that I can until they either ban me or tell me to STOP.

EDIT: Day 3 of submitting the same picture with no changes.

Original photo and rejection notice:
Reason(s) for Rejection:
- Poor lighting (Cloudy): Common angle cloudy day shots of common/standard power are generally not accepted.
Image

And after four days of repeated upload with no changes, their rejection reply stated this:
Reason(s) for Rejection:
- Uncorrected Reupload: This image appears to be an uncorrected resubmission of a previously rejected photo. You are welcome to re-upload images as long as you have made improvements to them. Please do not let this be a problem in the future.
So, should I upload this one?
