I'm so pumped for 12/25/16!! I just ordered a Athearn Genesis HO scale CN SD70M-2- CN SD70M-2 #8810 w/ Tsunami Sound traxx. And I also recently got a HO Athearn Genesis DT&I GP38-2 DT&I GP38-2 #225 and a Code 3 die cast 1/64 scale FDNY Rescue 1, the exact same one that took all deceased 11 members that went to the WTC on 9/11/01. I unfortunately can't open them until Christmas, but when I do, man I will put them to work!!

There is a book "One Hundred Years of Valor" that covers the entire history of Rescue 1, which includes a WTC section. It was written by Paul Hashagen, who is a retired Rescue 1 firefighter and excellent author. I was able to read my copy before Christmas last year too....

I gotta say, the 5 FDNY HME Saulbury Rescues they got in 1996 are my most favorite trucks of all. FDNY had a lot of cool "Apparatus" in the mid late 90s, if the twin towers didn't terribly collapse, all the firemen and trucks would still be around. I might pick up some day RESCUE 3 to go along with 1.

Although I wonder which CN line I should model when I build a layout. I might do part of the flint sub including Cory Yard, Hope, Cedar, And Trowbridge. I'm getting possibly a total of
6 CN painted locos
4 CN predecessors
1 GO Transit loco
1 SOU loco
3 pack set- GO Transit coaches. I also have GECX 2010 from MTH which will run on both CN and NS.
