Railroadfan.com 2023 Meet - Durand - June 4th

Hello hello all. Talked with the admin of the Facebook Michigan Railfans (SD80MAC) and we're planning a railfan get together for the combined groups in Durand Michigan on Sunday June 4th.
As usual, this is a free event; come and go as you please. Any Michigan railfans and families are welcome. We'll meet at the depot in Durand and hope to see whomever is going to come on out.
Street address: 200 South Railroad Street, Durand, MI 48429
No official starting time or end. I plan to arrive morning hours, leave sometime after dinner. Feel free to carpool and use this thread to arrange rides.

Anyone know any good hotels in the area of Durand? I’m planning on staying there the night before and leaving the morning of the 5th.

I saw a Holiday Inn right by the exit ramp

It's a Quality Inn in Durand, and the Sunset Motel on Lansing Road. That's about it for hotels in town.
A bigger selection of name brand hotels is available in Lansing.

I'm amending my RSVP statement then:
I'm now only coming if your charcuterie board has a picture of a shark on it and says "shark coochie board" and a cute statement about charcuterie being difficult to say or spell.
Also said board must have a pile of smoked gouda cheese consisting of at least 18 pieces.

You only get to eat the gouda if you pronounce it correctly.
