I've just recently found out on Facebook that National Train Day Toledo 2017 is happening, which struck me with some questions which I still haven't gotten answered, would anyone know the answers here, 1: I thought it wasn't happening because Amtrak dropped the funding for it, is Amtrak founding it again? 2: Will there be units on display?

OK, the event is definitely happening!!!! I guess "Everyone" changed their minds!!!!  It will be Saturday May 6, 2017 at the Toledo, OH Amtrak® station!!!!
I myself will be there to "Represent" the Michigan Transit Museum®!!!! We will have a booth set up there too!!!!

There will be the Ann Arbor® "Heritage Unit" as one of the displays!!!! I haven't seen this engine since before the "Re-paint" as AA GP38 #7802!!!!

Here's a photo I took (Pentax® 645™ 120 film camera) at Ottawa Yard, 1/24/2014: Image

A regular NS unit (no heritage unit this year) will be on display.
Amtrak has decided not to send equipment this year.

OK, the equipment "Displays" weren't the "Best!!!!" It was nice to see the only engine there, AA GP38 #3879!!!! However, I took "Long Exposures" of an old Sperry® "Thing" sitting on a siding that night!!!! It's an old "Doodlebug" from the 1930's and there's only 5 left!!!!

I had a great time at this event, I'll post "Scanned" film pictures soon! The "Longest" train I ever saw was on this day, near Delta, OH!!!! It was a westbound NS train with
three engines, 208 cars!!!! "MERCY!!!!"

Look at this video of a Westbound that passed before I arrived (video be "Railfan Kyle"): https://www.youtube.com/embed/c85oaLSpQ4Q
─yes that is one engine with 172 cars....I never saw that long of a train with only one unit!!!!
