Gulf & Ship Island Railroad Overview

The Gulf & Ship Island Railroad is a subsidiary of Rock Island Rail.

The G&SI's principal commodities include: steel, gypsum wallboard, lumber and other building materials, asphalt, aggregates, industrial chemicals, utility poles, plastics and general merchandise freight.

The shortline interchanges with the Kansas City Southern Railway at Gulfport, MS.
