Hey guys i was looking threw old things and came acrossed a disk i have with crashes from the PM, about 18 of them ill just list the year and town and if you would like i can post them or email it to you

1)1911 Detroit MI Head on crash at Rougemere Yard

2) 1915 Okemos MI Train derailed due to broken/bent track near Okemos

3)1917 Melivn MI Derailment near the town

4)1917 Riverside MI

5)1920 New Boston MI

6) 1923 Alexis OH

7)1923 Mcdonald MI

8)1929 Fenwick MI

9)1929 Lord MI

10)1929 Petoskey MI

11)1930 Ann Pere MI

12)1930 Mcgrew Junction MI

13)1931 Edmore MI

14) 1935 Riverdale MI

15) 1937 Beech MI

16) 1937 Michigan City IN

17) 1942 Green Oak MI

18)1947 Dean MI

they include on some of them pics, drawings of the track plans and were the train laid when inspectors arrived, how many people were killed, what the cars were, locos mostly steam, date it happens times, if employees were drinking, were the train was heading/ going, much much more. there kinda fun to peak threw and see what happend and what lead up to the crashes. post your email and request and ill get it out asap~Chris

Hey Chris, I have a book titled "Railroads Come and Go in Allegan County" and it shows a picture of a PM wreck "near" New Richmond. Not sure of the date...looks like it might be late 1800/early 1900's.

There was a PM corn field meet at Mayville in 1905??
PM passenger train jumped the tracks east of Sandusky in the 1920's

Chris,

If you ever come across information on a 1905 wreck between Traverse City and Acme let me know.

My grandfather was a PM engineer, and was killed in that one. Locomotive and tender were backing when it derailed. That's as much as I know about it.

Yeah, I know I just gave away my age.

the lastest one that i have is from the 1911 Detroit MI Head on crash at Rougemere Yard , but it was from ebay, ill check the disk out when I get home too see if there's anything I dident see
