Hey tom, Is it unusual for 801/802 to have a solo leader? I've never seen it with oneTom49801 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:39 pmD802-23 @ 13:29:41 eastward Bangor's Division St crossing mp CG60.93 with BNSF engine #8558 & 129 loaded coal cars & rear BNSF #9730. Re: CSX Location Updates - Sept 2021
That is how the coal trains will be coming from BNSF from now on, 1 on the front and 1 on the rear. The CSX power will be added to the headend to get the train over the hill, saving time instead of adding them to the rear and DPUing them.David Collins wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 2:35 pmHey tom, Is it unusual for 801/802 to have a solo leader? Re: CSX Location Updates - Sept 2021
To be honest Tom, I was in the basement yesterday when D705 went west, and made it to the basement window in time to see only the last two units, including the unit going to Peaker When I got upstairs, my wife had the entire consist written down and told me 5340 was the leader. If 5240 is leading today, I will have to speak to her about that. (Not that I could not have made the same mistake myself) And speaking of the Peaker unit, D708 is just coming down the hill into Howell and will be going to Peaker with 544 today. 544 is spliced in between 6560 & 4077. Leaving their train at Howell and going to Peaker power light.Tom49801 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:39 pmD706-23[/b] @ 14:01 eastward reported by the DD mp CH126.3 with 248 axles. Re: CSX Location Updates - Sept 2021
Hi, it was today's engineer's error. I had checked the Channel 14 archives for yesterday's D705 & he indeed had stated the #5340 was leading & when he had given up his EC1. I had listened to today's Channel 14 archives & D706 did make an error during his mark up to the RN Dispatcher.BL2-1843 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 3:21 pmTo be honest Tom, I was in the basement yesterday when D705 went west, and made it to the basement window in time to see only the last two units, including the unit going to Peaker When I got upstairs, my wife had the entire consist written down and told me 5340 was the leader.
