Last time I checked, you don't get holiday pay on locals or road trains. Only yard jobs.

Well that’s rough. Do they give anything extra for working a holiday at all?

D705-28 was by Howell at 04:25 this morning with 98 cars. 982 leading, 901 on the rear. Quite a few stone loads near the rear. I see there is nothing reported on todays D706-28 which is normal seeing I am still looking for the unit behind 938 on yesterdays D705. And yes Tom, I would not have known what the lead unit was either until D705 was almost to Lansing and the RN call the train with a very clear voice giving the lead unit number of 938. Nothing except occasion static from the train.

Q326-28 @ 10:21:03 eastward Bangor's Division St crossing mp CG60.93 with CSXT engines #288 + #5403 & 92 cars. It appears he's going into Grand Jct Siding mp CG55.6 to let Q327 pass by.

Q327-28 @ 10:38 westward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 548 axles & 7,000+ feet long (the footage was stepped on by another radio call). CSXT engines #754 + #339 & 134 cars. He had picked up 41 cars from Holland.
He is telling the Dispatcher the DD report is showing they have 2 more cars than they should have. Dispatcher is looking into this to verify if it was 39 or 41 cars Q327 was picking up from Holland.

Q327-28 @ 10:53 was advised ny Dispatch they have no idea why they have 2 more cars than they should. They're to stop their train somewhere between Riverside mp CG80.1 & the St Joseph Bridge to find these extra cars.

NOTE: All 3 Broadcastify CSX scanners dropped off line at 10:51 & was reported. The St Joseph scanner is ok.

Q327-28 @ 11:00:34 westward Bangor's Center St crossing mp CG60.35 CSXT engines #754 + #339 & 134 cars.

Sounds like D702 is working Buzzi. Hearing lots of horns blowing in Grandville. Gotta find a real scanner as the web scanner is down....;-(

Q326-28 @ 11:51 eastward Holland Depot mp CG25.3 with CSXT engines #288 + #5403 & 92 cars. He was seen slowing for his set offs to be made at Waverly/Holland.

Q327-28 @ 11:58 reported to the RN dispatcher they had located their 2 extra cars (they have 53 loaded + 81 empties). They've updated their PTC to reflect this & was given the ok to proceed westward.

NOTE: at this time, the 3 Broadcastify scanners for channels 08 (road), 14 (Plymouth sub EC1's heard there) & 35 (Grand Rapids sub EC1's heard there) are still off line.

D706-28 @ 13:35 heard in Grand Rapids with Rouge saying "grab your other engine from the Mouse". A few minutes earlier, I thought I had heard "5503" or maybe "6503". The scanner archives for this time slot will be available in a few minutes & I'll check that out. At least, we didn't miss D706 while the Broadcastify Scanners were off line :)

Update at 14:28, it's the CSXT #5305 and should be paired with the CSXT #938. He's still getting himself together in Grand Rapids.

What keeps me from being an engineer. I hear dispatchers make good money though, definitely something I'd consider.
