Sheesh; yall are just young pups, and I appear to be the oldest fart on the board.
While I was growing up, Harry Truman became president, and steam whistles sounding lonesome in the night were a common occurrence. I still remember how some engineers played those whistles. They were music then, and I long to hear them now.

Why start with another rr? Unless you are running out of NYC photos; too bad the photos aren't on some of the background engines like those GP-20's in the Elkhart photo and that U25B in the BC photo.

Wow..great shots!!!
BTW, the F unit (first photo of the second batch) is a rare F2, not an F3, the nose gives it away (more of an angle than later F's).
