Not train related, but definitely something sad as I’ve grown up going to the place. I knew Marvin personally and I bet he’d come out of his grave and open a can of whoopass on the city council.

I love that place David. I remember when that plaza was a mall in the 1980's (Tally Hall) .
Mostly a food court. Marvin's was the only place that was spared the wrecking ball at that time.
It would already be closed if it were not for people's generous donations during the lockdowns.

you present a plan that meets all ordinance requirements and the council denies it, they get sued and will lose.

First time hearing of MMMM was on Facebook yesterday. Sounds like a really cool place and I don't how its existence has eluded me all my life, especially since I've driven by it or ridden by it in a car dozens of times in my life.

doesn't help that it's tucked in back.
in a shopping center that has seen years of stores rotating in and out as peoples' tastes changed.

they're going to move but don't know where.
they've had time to formulate plan b and haven't.
they're in a less than top dollar location.
it's going to be hard find affordable commercial nearby.
wish them luck but they put too much time in plan a which was staying put.

kind of says what I said. the owner seems to now understand the reality of going out-of-business may happen.

Same situation here in Ann Arbor for the beloved Pinball Pete's arcade. Within the next few months its set to be ripped out for some new luxury housing for university.
