This made me dizzy! I've had moments like this with my model trains being hopscotched between distribution centers, but they were intact, I wish you luck!

FedEx ships most of the USPS's packages.
A "looping" package like that often indicates some type of issue with the shipping label (i.e. wrong zip code or address format, damaged bar code etc.)

Probable is meds. If it was toys, I wouldn't be happy.
I agree it was probably damaged but I also note the correct post office did get it first.
But what did they do with it?

In the old days the clerks knew the delivery scheme for every route in their building. Nowadays they just scan the bar code for the route number without even looking at the address. If the bar code is bad the and scanner tells them it doesn't belong in their building they just toss it in the mis-sort bin where it wanders through the system until it finally gets manually sorted by someone who is paying attention.
