I'm currently sitting near CSX Wyoming Terminal in Grand Rapids, MI. There is legit two wild turkeys hanging around the train yard. The one obviously a male has his tail feathers all out and open.

Hy-railing yesterday - about 100 miles - we almost hit half a dozen turkeys, a few deer, and a pair of woodchucks.

We rescued a massive 14" snapping turtle from the tracks on Wednesday, too.

Based on the various carcasses and bone piles along the line, not everything makes it!

Turkeys are an everyday thing. They would let you get up close as long as you were on the engine. Deers were less then skittish about engines too but didn't like humans on foot. The osprey have a couple nests about the shop area. It's a jungle out THERE!

Turkeys are in the yard all of the time. They like to eat the grain that leaks out of hoppers.
