Does not look like anything I can think of in Cleveland. Spent a good bit of time there too. I was based there for about 8 years.

Where be it? Something rare was recently built in this yard on the left side of the photo. Not seen in this 2019 image from google street view, but if you were there now, a rare device would be seen. Train tracks in distance at the bridge with the signal bridge seen.

23rd Street near Breckenridge in Detroit. Looking south toward the tracks. The rare device is a pay phone.

Righto! Installed later that year. It's actually a "free" phone, able to make calls without payment.

long time ago there was a bank of 6 payphones next to the curb in the d.
all nearby businesses and homes were slightly uninhabitable.
bus aide who lived in the d couldn't figure out why.
drug dealing in the days before portable devices.

Looks like the east end of the siding down past White Pigeon, looking towards the west at the Andersons' Grain elevator on the left

Probably easy, but funny to see a pretty decent train shot on google street view. Wonder what that tiny approx 50 sq ft building is used for.

The building was a filling station cashiers counter originally. There were still a couple of derelict gas pumps and the driveways there when I was a very young lad. Later taken over by the lake Odessa area chamber of commerce. They stocked it with some brochures for a while. Then filled it with junk. Not sure if they still own it or use it. Haven’t paid it much attention lately. But I’ll check it out for you and report back.

~Z~ posted this location years ago, back when there were still tracks here.
Although the rails were removed I noticed that they left the short siding in place.
