This is Green Street Detroit looking southwest on CSX. The Detroit produce terminal is just out of frame to the left.

You must have on heckuva telephoto lens.
Yes, its the CSX along with N&W looking southwest from N. N Green Street in Detroit, Wayne County. The final passenger train on that line were the old C&O Ry passenger trains 11, 12, 14 and 15 the Pere Marquette between Detroit and Grand Rapids and N&W passenger trains 301-304 Wabash Cannonball between Detroit and St. Louis, MO. All these runs were made on April 30, 1971.

That looks like the Big Chute Marine Railway which is next to the Big Chute Generating Station, crossing Upper Big Chute Road down the shore from Big Chute Marine and the Big Chute Restaurant. Kind of in Boondocks Ontario.

Thou art correct pat, nice work. Yesterday I learned there is a canal system that was built to connect Lake Huron to Lake Ontario, bypassing lake Erie and Niagara falls. By the time they finished building it, railroad traffic took away a lot of it, as did the Welland canal near Niagara.

Indeed correct. The photo above is looking NE of Decatur, in Decatur Twp., Van Buren County, MI. Three Amtrak trains operating in each direction
between Detroit and Chicago. Trains 351, 353 and 355 with 355 stops at DOA all westbound. Trains 350. 352 and 354 with 350 stop at DOA all eastbound. Also Amtrak trains 364 and 365 operating between Chicago and Port Huron and both stop at DOA.
