Holton's LP Gas, on River Road in Foreman, in Bear Creek Township, Emmet County, south of Petoskey. Final run of the remaining old Pennsy RR passenger train 520 the Northern Arrow, was made on September 4, 1961.

Correct!! That's Cross Street and N River Road in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, looking east along Cross Street. All the buildings including the old fashioned railroad crossing gates tower on the east side of the steam train above are still there now. Only a NS RR local freight train and six Amtrak trains (three in each direction) pass through that crossing now, Would be nice for someone to post a "now" picture.

Depot Town it is, and here you go Rodney. The closest I could get with Google Street view from 2011.
Both good guesses David but Dan for the win.

Got it! Thanks Michael! Also , the Depot Town Restaurant is on the north side of Cross Street, west of the tracks and the Ypsi depot on east side of the tracks. just north of the old fashioned crossing gates tower. Both not visible.

Yes, N Straits Hwy, aka M-27 aka former US-27, in Inverness Township, south of Cheboygan in Cheboygan County. Old ROW of the former Michigan Central RR. Final run of the old New York Central RR remaining passenger train that ran between Bay City and Mackinaw City with stops in Cheboygan was made on September 3, 1962.

I recognized that one visual hint immediately.
But I'm going to guess nobody else will.
