Is it in Petoskey? Not on the GLC
Hillsdale? No and not on INER
Is it in UP? No

Except when a train is running, the rails to get here are
physically disconnected from the rest of the international rail network......

Kearney St in Port Huron off the former GTW branch to the paper place. Your hint to an open drawbridge did it for me!

I know LSRC services this section of track, but do they actually own it??

Yes, indeed, Kerney Street in Port Huron. Looking south in the first ahove shot and looking north in the second above shot. Dunn Paper Co. plant located at the north end of the Dunn Paper Lead (former GTW branch) just north of the Bluewater bridge to Canada, and the Dunstar Paper plant just north of the Black River are the only rail customers remaining. That branch line is now the LSRC and their engine are kept at the Dunstar when not in use.

CDW is the other customer. Currently they transload tank cars for someone. But they can handle other materials including dry/bulk.

Yes, indeed, old C&O Railway trackage, now the GLC RR looking east towards the old C&O Railway depot, now the Filling Station and Microbrewery in Traverse City, Grand Traverse County. The track at the right is the old Pennsy track to Walton Junction which is north of Cadillac. Final run of the remaining old C&O Railway passenger train no. 25/26 between Grand Rapids and Traverse City, was made on October 29, 1966. That eatery have great pizza. I never been there yet.

I agree. Looks like the corner of Montcalm Ave and Riverside/Grand River Dr at the the Kent/Ionia County line.

Yep, end of the line for the old GTW (technically an island of track) east of Lowell.

Yes, indeed, east end of old GTW RR Grand Rapids Sub (now GRE) at Grand River Avenue and Montcalm Ave. at the Kent/Ionia County line looking west in Lowell Township, Kent County. Final run of the remaining old GTW EE passenger trains 57/22 between Detroit and Muskegon. were made on October 1, 1960. Its now the west end of Fred Meijer Grand Valley Train behind the photographer's current position.
