Yes, indeed. Morenci Highway and Wolfe Road, northeast of Morenci in Seneca Township, Lenawee County. Looking south. Final run of the remaining N&W Railway passenger trains 301 and 304 the Wabash Cannonball that ran between Detroit and St. Louis with stops in Milan and Adrian, was made on April 30, 1971.

Re: Where Is It?
If interested, I editied my comments about W. Pontiac (above) by adding a photo of how I remember it. I didn't want to add the photo here since we have already moved on to a different 'Where Is it." You can see the small shanty which was painted in the old GTW maroon and cream paint. This is back when the CTC ended at W. Pontiac and it was double track current-of-traffic all the way to Detroit.

Re: Where Is It?
That would have been a way too long school bus ride. Wouldn't have time for breakfast, lunch, dinner, sleep or much of anything except sit.
What railroad I was so happy that after I found it I didn't bother with that detail
I think there is a hint in there if you know what area I live

It is in da UP, eh! Newberry MI to be exact. Taken near the corner of Parmalee St and E Ave C. Looks like the water tower used to be silverish, now painted red.

Re: Where Is It?
Well done guys. I was interested in those overgrown rails in the above photo.
I was looking at aerials going back to 1983 but the building that was at that location was already gone by then.

Re: Where Is It?
Per Sanborn Map, it was a flooring mill. I would guess the rails in the concrete were used for a transfer table(s).

Re: Where Is It?
Yes. The rails carried the carts for the dry kilns at the flooring mill.
I do not know when the mill closed but I recall that there was a fire at the mill in the 1950s that led to closure.

The Horner Flooring Company moved from Newberry to Dollar Bay in 1938.
https://www.maplefloor.org/About-MFMA/M ... h-(2).aspx
Seems the plant burned in 1938 was back in operation by 1939. Sold to a plywood company in 1946.
Article not clear if it was Horner that rebuilt the plant, since their company history says moved to Dollar Bay in 1938.
