I see a picture pretty devoid of clues.. trees, straight track, and either a dirty lens or sensor. I'll guess NS between Detroit and Butler.

I think I see a rail joint. I'm guessing the INER.

Not the INER. Way north, in the 989.

It looked much better back when I was dispatching that line! FWIW, I worked the agency in Gera for a bit back in 1970, and then again in 1976. The agency was closed in 1977.

Does this look familiar?

"David R. Collins

An Inbound Metra Train arrives in Mount Prospect, IL, I rode this into Chicago/Ogilivie..

You are including a link to your flickr account in your tagline. Then postings pictures from your flickr account in the where is it thread. Takes about 2 minutes or less to figure it out. Click on the link, scroll through the photos in your photo stream until you find the one that matches, click on it, read the caption, Boom.

You shut your dirty mouth! lolz, how dare you give away how I solved that last one..basically at least. I went to his Flickr link, typed in "metra" since I noticed that train, and there were just a few to scroll through. Some of the previous ones were via a link he provided with the photo itself. One I actually solved by looking at the pic which showed a billboard with a phone number. I googled that phone number, said Attleboro, so that was the guess. Me thinks I won't be guessing at whatever he comes up with next as hopefully he won't make it searchable by any of the above methods.
