Next North Country trail crossing south of Elmira is Alba, not that. Next south is Kalkaska, not that. Next is Fife Lake, has a sweeping left curve, but US131 would be visible, not that. Next is a few miles north of Manton where it crosses E 4 Rd near Old US-131, I'm thinking that's it. Right about where GLC crosses the Manistee River.

That is the exact spot. I was about three hours early to catch the train through here. A lot of trees have been cleared next to the right of way for the bridge replacement.

Three hours awaiting the train - I've been in that boat, not exactly the most fun when it's cold out like that, but hopefully you got a little hiking in along the trail.
End up getting a photo, and if so, share?

I did a couple miles of hiking, snow was a foot deep in the open areas. No train photo, but here's the bridge. It has really been opened up on the south side. Hopefully I can catch them here a few time before construction starts.

83 Thompson St in Courtright Ontario. Nice, just enough clues to help narrow it down after a quick scroll down a few crossings starting at Sarnia and working south.
As a followup to this, I don't think CSX runs often further down the line near Babys Point

GRHC - you know every night I can imagine he is in front of his computer screen sitting in his underwear swearing profusely and drinking Blatz beer combing the RailRoadFan website for grammatical errors.

Yeah, that's the address I'm using. I can't replicate that in google street view. The image I see has vehicles driving down the street. The original image posted has no vehicles and a person walking in the street in the distance. No matter what angle I look at on street view, I can't replicate that scene. In fact, a couple of the street view images even has the sun shining.

Aha! Ok, that explains it.

So I followed that line all the way down to Chatham and was surprised to see in many areas how grown over it was. Lots of paved over crossings too. Looked like it had been decades since a train was on that line. I guess they aren't in any hurry to remove the rails.
