Some Pure Michigan imagery from last July at Point Betsie north of Frankfort.

Going south after probably participating in the Chicago to Mackinac Sailboat Race. There was how many sailboats heading past here.

Frankfort North Breakwater Light.

First time I've heard clapping and cheering after the sun set from all the people who gathered around the beach from the street. Looked like everyone was waiting for a shuttle launch.

I keep going back to this shot. Well done, Brandon. Did you get their names so you could send them a copy?

Thanks AARR.

Thanks J T. Have you been there when the waves are crashing into the seawall sending water about 10 feet high? It's cool how the water is green around there. I've been on the Frankfort South Pier where the water was really greenish like at some tropical island.

I was almost going to put a few pictures of the other point in this thread. I do have some that I just haven't processed them. You can now go up into the Ludington North Breakwater Light along with the tall brick lighthouse at Little Sable Point and of course Big Sable.

I didn't but I was actually thinking it would be great to be able to send a copy to them when I was editing it. One of my favorites.

No, I've only been there once and that was back in the summer of '06 when I got those shots. Beautiful area, just haven't had a chance to return.

Sweet video. These are my stomping grounds. :) I'm guessing that this was last summer. I'm surprised I'm not in the background of the Amtrak shots.
BTW, I think that train with 2680 is not a local grain train...I believe it is D700, with grain cars from East Saugatuck, sand cars from Techinsand and two boxcars from Menasha, but I could be wrong.
That fountain up on the blufff is the Maidens of the Mist. (or is it Maids?? St. Joe/St. Joseph)
