Operation: 4014 - All four days

A few weeks ago, my parents surprised me with the announcement that we were going to go on a trip to see the big boy in Chicago, and day one of the trip was yesterday.

We filmed trains in Sterling, Illinois and Dixon, Illinois, the first two trains were filmed in Sterling, we shot the big boy and some other trains at a crossing in the middle of nowhere near Dixon, and the empty coal train in the video was shot in Sterling.

The second angle of the big boy is provided by my mom, who took a video as back up just in case something went wrong with mine.

Enjoy!

I'm impressed with the extent that your parents support your hobbies and interest.
There were quite a few other railfans trackside to catch 4014 as well!

Ladies and gentlemen, Day 2 of Operation: 4014. This day we started in the tiny town of Dixon, Illinois, then moved back to the spot we shot the Big Boy at the day before. Some massive and heavy freight trains are in this alongside some neat power. Enjoy!

After some delay, Day 3 has been posted. I started the video out with a 2:1 aspect ratio cinematic intro. I got the drone up several times but to shoot B roll of trains. I still got plenty of video from the ground which is seen in the rest of the video. Enjoy.

The grand finale of Operation: 4014 was a stop in Chesterton, Indiana. Lots of really neat stuff, including the Virginian heritage unit and a GIANT intermodal train.
