Re: IORY Flat Rock Turn Video's
Thank you for sharing this AARR! Not only does it do a good job of documenting the transition from elder EMD power to the latest GE G&W acquisitions, it does a good job depicting some of the cargos presently carried on the Flat Rock Turn south from Flat Rock. While I’ll miss the aging SD40 type stuff, I really like how the G&W orange looks on those big Dash 8s and 9s. Perhaps the crews are not as optimistic as I am
The video chronicles a couple of recent passages over Carleton Diamond, a spot I used to get to with some frequency. I’m surprised since CN no longer runs any of their own trains that way how fast the I&O job can go over the diamond. Quite the variety of power has traversed that diamond on the CN/I&O side over the past decades.
Does anyone else remember when the I&O leased a few Susie-Q SD70Ms providing opportunities like this?

The few times I’ve managed to catch the turn job, they’ve preferred using the ex-UP SD60s
